Jean has been involved in theater at Montview for more than 50 years. She began with the making of a few props and moved through set work, stage crew, and stage manager work in early productions. Jean notes, ‘With no formal theater training, it’s been an adventure to figure it all out along the way, but what a grand ride it’s been!’ She loves working with the intergenerational aspect of this theatre company, and watching the many interactions among the players in all configurations of the age groups. ‘It has been a real treat to watch our kids grow and develop confidence as they move through the program, in addition to the pure joy of just having fun!’ Jean’s primary hobby of browsing thrift stores and antique stores dovetails with her joy in acquiring “bargain finds” to grace Montview’s stage. ‘Musique & Masque is truly a labor of love, which has been returned to me ten-fold.’
